
Born in Syracuse, New York, Janet grew up in Scotland before immigrating to Israel.
She studied the violin at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD, now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and in Israel before training as an actor at the Nissan Nattiv Acting Studio in Tel Aviv, one of Israel’s leading drama schools.
She has worked in theatre and film in Israel, London and Argentina in a diverse range of classical, contemporary and independent productions.
Theatre in London includes, The Arrangement, A Chaste Maid in Cheapside (Old Red Lion), Gof / Fever (Riverside Studios), The Lesson (Troubadour / Battersea Arts Centre) and Uncle Vanya (Two Way Mirror). Film includes Mindbender, Left for Dead, Longchamps and Last Respects.
After discovering the Argentine Tango, Janet moved to Buenos Aires where she became involved in the vibrant independent theatre and film world, as well as immersing herself in Argentine tango music and dance.
She wrote, produced, and performed her own show Tango for Regina in the UK, based on a story by her mother who as a child survived the Auschwitz and Bergen Belsen concentration camps.
Currently based in Los Angeles and London.
